Toddler Program

Teachers in the Toddler Program gently guide our youngest children as they take their first steps towards discovering the world around them and learning. The natural inquisitiveness within a child is nurtured as they explore their curious surroundings under the careful watch of our teachers and caregivers.  Encouraged to let their imaginations loose, children begin to gain self-confidence and independence.   Children take pride in their accomplishments and are enthusiastic about learning.  Learn through play is the primary teaching tool as they discover what learning is all about !!!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept Maryland State Childcare Scholarship payments?
    • Yes. The Maryland State Childcare Scholarship (also known as the Childcare Subsidy or Voucher Program), provides childcare tuition assistance to parents within specific income guidelines who are working and/or going to school. For more information or to see if you are eligible, click here.
    • For families living in Montgomery County, you may also be eligible for the Working Parents Assistance Program. Please click here for more information and to apply.
  • Do you offer sibling discounts?
    • Yes. If you have more than one child attending Al Huda School or Preschool, you will receive a 20% sibling discount on second or third children attending Al Huda Preschool.
  • Do you offer a referral discount?
    • Yes. If you are an Al Huda Preschool family and successfully refer another new family to Al Huda School or Preschool, you may be eligible to receive a referral discount.
  • Do you require uniforms?
    • Uniforms are required for the four-year-old classes only:
      • Girls: navy blue jumper, white shirt, pants (black/brown/white)
      • Boys: navy blue pants, white shirt
    • For everyone, closed-toe shoes are recommended at all times – please, no sandals. As the Preschoolers go outside most days (weather-permitting), closed-toe shoes will better protect their feet from injury.
    • Please avoid sending your child to school with belts or overalls.  These can be a big problem in the bathroom and cause "accidents".
  • What is your policy on peanuts?
    • All nuts, peanuts and peanut-containing products are not allowed in the Preschool.  This applies to peanut butter, Nutella and any product containing peanuts in the ingredients.  Children who have peanut allergies can have severe reactions to even the smell of peanuts.  A severe allergic reaction can impair breathing, which is life-threatening to those children with peanut allergies.
  • What is your late pick-up policy?
    • Following is our late pick-up fee policy:
      • $4.00 for the first ten minutes
      • an additional $1.00 per minute after that
